Rainforests

Rainforests do not only appear in tropical areas, but also in temperate coastal areas with more than 2000 mm rain per year such as Norway, Ireland, Scotland and the west coasts of the US and Canada. These rainforest are rich in mosses, ferns and epiphites which grow on soil, stones or in the trees.

Walks and cycle tours nearby Jonsvatnet

Jonsvatnet is a lake in which drinking water for the population of Trondheim is stored. Located east of Trondheim, the surrounding hills form a scenic backdrop. In addition to Jonsvatnet there are other lakes where you can fish, swim or enjoy a relaxing moment.
